Tour South Australia Jamaica Irie/Sweet Jamaica

Queen Jigzie toured South Australia performing at Schools and Kindergartens. Performances were in Bordertown Naracoorte Keith Nhill Murray Bridge and Adelaide.

Wesley College Readers and Writers Festival

August 2013

Queen Jigzie visited Wesley College as a presenter for their middle school Readers and Writers Festival…IDENTITY WHO WHY AND WHERE….Via music,song,dances and stories from traditional and contemporary Jamaica students were entertained and educated on various aspects of Jamaican culture. This three day festival of sharing cultures, participating and interacting was an educational and positive experience for both students and presenters.

“Australian Association For Caribbean Studies Conference”

February 2013:  Queen jigzie attended the 10th Biennial conference of the AUSTRALIAN ASSOCIATION FOR CARIBBEAN STUDIES  in Melbourne.

The conference was organised through  La Trobe University. It was an interesting, informative, interactive, enlightening and entertaining conference. The speakers and presenters all academics and expert in Caribbean Studies whether they originated from one of the Caribbean Islands or  from other countries have all studied and researched studied varying aspects of the Caribbean and its people. Topics that were presented varied from history, literature, music, language and culture from  various  Islands of the Caribbean.

Celebration In The Park 2012

In December 2012 Queen Jigzie with percussionist King Ru (Ru.CL) for the second year entertained the Port Phillip community. In true Jamaican Style audiences were treated to traditional and contemporary song,music,dance and rhythmic percussion.
